I broke up a fight once at Fremont High School one of the worst performing schools in Los Angeles.

… the teacher of not stepping in to stop the conflict, but she was likely taught not to get involved. I’ve broken up my fair share of fights, but I’m also guilty of telling my smaller peers to avoid getting physically involved. I’ve been injured before and we are, in theory, not paid to put our lives on the line.
